I am one of many contributing designers to have worked on the Undrtone desktop and mobile experiences at different stages of it's development. My involvement specifically included:
- User experience refinement
- User interface design
Harnessing the leading streaming services (Spotify, Rdio, Soundcloud and Deezer), Undrtone lets you share and discover music you love. Nicknamed as "Instagram for music", Undrtone is a fresh take on music discovery allowing users to find and share tunes with their friends and followers, or find new artists or tastemakers they love.
- With limited development resources available, many of our suggestions that weren't critical are still in backlog and due for the next release.
As Undrtone is a personal venture of design studio Josephmark, it was unfortunately second priority to client work. It had been a busy year and Undrtone was overdue for a little TLC when I undertook a UX review with my colleague, Tahnee Lambrechtsen.
We completed thorough testing of the desktop and mobile app experiences, logging bugs that we came across and providing alternative UX solutions that provided a more cohesive overall experience. We also reworked parts the interface, redesigning the player and activity feed.
